Sprout is simulation-based childcare training for nannies, babysitters, new parents, and childcare centers. Each lesson pairs a bite-size video with a quick quiz, and many add an interactive 3D simulation so you can practice real caregiving moments before they happen.
Who is Sprout childcare training for?
Nannies, babysitters, people new to childcare, new and expecting parents, and childcare center teams. Each group has its own path, with lessons that fit the care they give.
What topics does the childcare training cover?
Everyday child safety and care skills, including safe sleep, hand hygiene, basic first aid, and food safety and choking prevention. New lessons are added regularly.
How long does a lesson take?
Lessons with a 3D simulation take about 20 to 30 minutes. Video lessons take about 10 to 15. You can pause and pick up where you left off.
Do I get a childcare training certificate?
Yes. Complete the lessons for an age group (infant, toddler, or school-age), pass each quiz and a final exam, and you earn a Sprout certificate that lists the lessons you completed and your training time.
Is a Sprout certificate a state license or CPR certification?
No. A Sprout certificate is a record of training completed with Sprout. It isn't a state childcare license or an accredited credential, and it doesn't replace in-person CPR and First Aid certification.
Do the training videos have captions?
Yes. Our videos are captioned, so you can follow along with the sound off.
Can a childcare center train its whole staff with Sprout?
Yes. Centers get an admin dashboard with groups for each location or room, ready-made training pathways, a coverage view, and reports for every caregiver.
Where does Sprout's training content come from?
Sprout lessons are written from published guidance by public health and child-safety authorities, including the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Our team reviews every lesson before it's released. Sprout is training, not medical advice. In an emergency, call 911.
How much does Sprout cost?
The Individual plan is $199 per year for one caregiver. The Family plan starts at $299 per year, and childcare centers get per-seat packages.
